Recap: Fowler Redcats vs. Yosemite Badgers
The Fowler Redcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-12 victory over Yosemite. The result was nothing new for Fowler, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Jerod Bubba Smith was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Fowler's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Edy Munoz-Rivas and his two sacks.
Fowler's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Yosemite, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Fowler will head out on the road to face off against Caruthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Caruthers knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Fowler likes a good challenge. As for Yosemite, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minarets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Minarets will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
