Football Recap: Burnet Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Burnet had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 15-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lago Vista Vikings on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Fisher Powell threw for 75 yards and one touchdown. Matthew Williams was his top target, picking up 88 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Bryan Johnson rushed for 27 yards.

Burnet will face off against East View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lago Vista, they will take on Connally at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
