Football Recap: Woodlawn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Woodlawn extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 33-26 to the Minor Tigers. If the Colonels were looking for revenge after losing 48-27 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kharon Lewis threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Cornealius Hudson was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and one TD.

As for Minor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.7 points on average this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamari Bell, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 37 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Dominic White, who gained 76 total yards and three touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodlawn will challenge Homewood at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Minor, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gardendale at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
