Volleyball Recap: Hilltop Lancers vs. San Ysidro Cougars
Hilltop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the San Ysidro Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-27, 25-18.
Ryan Nance had an outrageously good game for San Ysidro as he had 34 digs and three assists. The dominant performance gave Nance a new career-high in digs. Kenneth Rocha was another key player, getting 11 digs.
Hilltop's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for San Ysidro, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Looking ahead, Hilltop will welcome High Tech SD at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for San Ysidro, they will head out to take on Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
