Basketball Game Preview: Madison Panthers vs. Keytesville Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Madison Panthers challenge the Keytesville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday... Madison will be strutting in after a win while Keytesville will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Madison turned things around against Norborne two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 45-37. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Keytesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 45-27 fall against Linn County. The Tigers were down 38-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Kinley Dowell was Keytesville's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Dowell also led the team in rebounds with 16.

Keytesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Madison against Keytesville in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, as the team secured a 65-31 win. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Keytesville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
