Football Game Preview: Central Rockets vs. Huntley Red Raiders + Official Tickets

The Central Rockets will challenge the Huntley Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Central is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing McHenry: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rockets blew the Warriors out of the water with a 42-7 final score. That looming 42-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rockets yet this season.

Meanwhile, Huntley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Prairie Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Wolves are ranked 76th).

Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for Huntley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
