            Softball Preview: Greenville Yellow Jackets vs. Lowell Red Arrows        
        
		
        
        
            For the first time this season, Greenville will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to  square off against  the Lowell Red Arrows  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Greenville comes in on three and Lowell on seven.
The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Tuesday as neither Greenville nor Holton made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of  4-1.
 Drew Galey was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.  Alexa Hyler was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Greenville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in four consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Lowell got the win against Allendale  on Tuesday by a conclusive  13-3. Considering the Red Arrows have won nine games by more than eight  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Greenville pushed their record up to 13-7 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lowell, their record is now 11-1.
 Greenville might still be hurting after the  14-1 defeat they got from Lowell  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
