Ann Sobrato was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Christopher Cougars by a score of 3-2. Ann Sobrato wouldn't go down easily and took Christopher into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 15-25, 21-25, 15-8.
Despite the loss, Ann Sobrato still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Mccarthy Scettrini, who had five digs and two aces.
Even though they lost, Ann Sobrato was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive games.
Ann Sobrato's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Christopher, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-14.
Ann Sobrato wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Gunderson on the 29th. Christopher does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
