Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Family Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Family was the 3-0 winner over New Hope Christian when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Willa Swanson paced Cornerstone Family's offense, picking up five kills. Swanson got some help from Abby Anderson and her five assists. Jayme Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cornerstone Family's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for New Hope Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Cornerstone Family didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Joseph D on the 11th. New Hope Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
