Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sinatra Rembert and Aaron Montgomery Lead Lee Central to Victory

Lee Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 44-38 W over the Chesterfield Golden Rams on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Stallions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Lee Central to victory were Aaron Montgomery and Sinatra Rembert. Montgomery posted 15 points, while Rembert went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those 18 points gave Rembert a new career-high. Montavius Holmes was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Chesterfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Lee Central will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge McBee at 8:00 p.m. on December 2. The contest will give the Stallions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Chesterfield, they will take on Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
