Baseball Game Preview: Hawthorne Cougars vs. Morningside Monarchs

For the second straight game, Hawthorne will face off against Morningside. The Cougars will take on the Monarchs at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Hawthorne has lost four straight at home (dating back to last season), while Morningside has lost seven on the road.

Hawthorne headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for five straight, but Morningside let them put that streak behind them. The Cougars blew past the Monarchs 24-8 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Morningside's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hawthorne, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-10.
