Baseball Recap: Shrewsbury Takes a Loss

Shrewsbury extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 14-4 in the process. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andover Golden Warriors. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Colonials were not able to get on the board.

As for Andover, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

For Andover's part, the result came thanks to Drew Pulsifer's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. Pulsifer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Norris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Chris Jaillet was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither Shrewsbury nor Andover have any future games scheduled.
