Basketball Game Preview: Waggener Wildcats vs. Butler County Bears

The Waggener Wildcats will square off against the Butler County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Waggener saw some tournament action last Sunday. They fell just short of Bullitt East by a score of 41-38. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Butler County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lyon County on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 80-75 win.

Waggener better keep an eye on Ty Price. He was instrumental in Butler County's win, going 13 for 23 on his way to 38 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Price a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Briar Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists.

Waggener now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Butler County, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
