Twin Loup had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-47 W against the Sandhills Valley Mavericks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 37-31 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Yahya Harris, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Henry Sortum, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Twin Loup smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Sandhills Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kyle Kramer, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 23 games he's played dating back to last season. Leyton Connell was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven assists.

Twin Loup's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Sandhills Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Twin Loup has already played their next contest, a 59-45 win against Anselmo-Merna on the 6th. As for Sandhills Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-40 victory against Brady on the 6th.
