Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chardon

Chardon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They never let the Lakeside Dragons get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory.

Tim Robertson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Stone Fawcett was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Chad Prince also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Chardon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Chardon's record now sits at 15-10. As for Lakeside, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Chardon will be playing at home against Green at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
