Inman had won five straight games and Ellie Thimmesch did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Inman Teutons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sterling Black Bears with plenty of help from Thimmesch, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Inman's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Sterling, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Inman beat the Black Bears by a score of 2-1 later that day.
