Piper won the last time they faced Seaman and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Piper Pirates pulled ahead with a 70-69 photo finish over the Seaman Vikings. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth in Kansas, while the Vikings are ranked 40th in Kansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piper's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Seaman, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Piper will be playing in front of their home fans against Turner at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Seaman, they are taking a road trip to square off against Shawnee Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Shawnee Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Seaman likes a good challenge.
