Volleyball Game Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. Bennett Tigers

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will take on the Bennett Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Lupton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Fort Lupton made easy work of The Pinnacle and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Daniela Gutierrez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and four aces.

Gutierrez wasn't the only good servers: Fort Lupton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. The Bluedevils are 9-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Bennett unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Weld Central, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since back in September.

Bennett was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Weld Central work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

Bennett's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fort Lupton, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Fort Lupton was able to grind out a solid victory over Bennett in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluedevils since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
