Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. The contest between them and the Austin Classical Mustangs didn't end well, with the Heritage Christian Eagles falling 37-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-31 back in December of 2024.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Austin Classical, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Heritage Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Austin Classical, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 37-36 win against Legacy Christian Academy on the 17th.
