Softball Recap: Lansingburgh Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Lansingburgh's offense. They fell just short of the Cohoes Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Guiliana Patregnani spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Taylor Moran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Lansingburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Cohoes, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Lansingburgh will challenge Schenectady at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cohoes, they are taking a road trip to challenge Catholic Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
