In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, DuQuoin sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-12, 22-25, 29-27.
DuQuoin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Love Dunklin, who had 17 digs. Dunklin has been hot , having posted 15 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenadie Hutchens, who had four digs and 14 assists.
Massac County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kinley Logeman out in front who had 16 kills. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia McCraw, who had ten kills.
DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Massac County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.
