It's playoff time, and Almond-Bancroft had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Newman Fighting Cardinals a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won 17 contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Almond-Bancroft is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Newman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
