Millbury waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monument Mountain Spartans a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Woolies have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Millbury pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Monument Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, Millbury will venture away from home to take on St. John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Woolies 1.9, the Lions 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Monument Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
