It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cesar E. Chavez had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Stratford Spartans 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lobos considering their two-run performance the match before.

Cesar E. Chavez is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Stratford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-7.

Coming up, Cesar E. Chavez will face off against Jordan on Saturday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lobos surely won't give up without a fight. Stratford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
