Basketball Game Preview: Balko/Forgan vs. Kremlin-Hillsdale Broncs

Balko/Forgan will square off against the Kremlin-Hillsdale Broncs at 3:20 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Balko/Forgan is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Seiling just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 66-35. While losing is never fun, Balko/Forgan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Seiling is ranked tenth).

Despite the defeat, Balko/Forgan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Halle Littau went 5 for 8 on her way to 14 points and four steals. Littau has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tenley Mulbery, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Kremlin-Hillsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 58-47 to Garber, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Kremlin-Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Balko/Forgan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
