Softball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for Sullivan

Sullivan won the last time they faced Vincennes Lincoln and things went their way on Monday too. Sullivan put the hurt on Vincennes Lincoln with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Arrows.

Mylee Vandevender spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits. Those two hits allowed gave her a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Addie Fosdick was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Howard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Sullivan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Sullivan's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
