Basketball Game Preview: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Nokomis Redskins

Lutheran is 0-5 against Nokomis since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Crusaders will head out to take on the Redskins at 7:00 p.m. Lutheran has given up an average of 59.2 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lutheran will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Lincolnwood, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Crusaders managed a 62-56 win over the Lancers on Friday. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nokomis not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 (when they won 53-20). They breezed past Neoga to the tune of 60-29. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Nokomis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lutheran, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Lutheran came up short against Nokomis in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 54-50. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
