            Baseball Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts        
        
		
        
        
            The Page Sand Devils will head out to  square off against the Window Rock Fighting Scouts  at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. Page's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Window Rock's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Wednesday,  everything went Page's way against Monument Valley as Page made off with  a  20-5 win. The Sand Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten  runs or more this season.
 Wyatt Tallman tossed a big game,   striking out nine batters over  4.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off only  two  hits (and only one walk).

 On the hitting side, Page got a  massive  performance out of  Shaine Begay, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  Begay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cole Tate, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
Meanwhile, Window Rock lost  17-1 to Chinle on Wednesday. The Fighting Scouts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Window Rock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Xavier Young, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Window Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Page, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-1.
 Everything went Page's way against Window Rock in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024, as Page made off with  a  14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Page since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
