Basketball Recap: Adrian Comes Up Short

Adrian was the 77-60 winner over Stockton when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Adrian Blackhawks fell 68-56 to the Stockton Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Tigers are ranked 117th).

Adrian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Stockton, their record is now 11-4.

Adrian will head out to challenge Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Adrian is facing Warrensburg at the right time seeing as Warrensburg is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Stockton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Diamond at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
