Baseball Recap: Rockport Takes a Loss

Rockport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Manchester Essex Hornets. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly ten runs.

Rockport's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Manchester Essex, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockport will challenge Lynnfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manchester Essex, they will take on Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
