Basketball Recap: Sutton Skates Past Whitinsville Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sutton). They blew past the Whitinsville Christian Crusaders 54-17 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Sutton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game. As for Whitinsville Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Sutton and Whitinsville Christian's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Sutton and Douglas (who has only given up 27.56 points per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sutton's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Whitinsville Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Whitinsville Christian will challenge St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, a team that's only allowed 26.71 points per game.
