Basketball Recap: Williamsport Takes a Loss

If Williamsport was riding high fresh off their 69-46 takedown of South Hagerstown last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Williamsport Wildcats fell 63-56 to the Tuscarora Titans on Friday. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Williamsport still got an impressive performance from Ceonta Wilmore, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Wilmore has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Zay Oree, who went 6 for 14 en route to 13 points and five assists.

Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Tuscarora, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Williamsport will challenge Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Williamsport's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Tuscarora, they are taking a road trip to challenge Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
