Baseball Game Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Alisal Trojans

For the second straight game, Everett Alvarez will face off against Alisal. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Everett Alvarez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Everett Alvarez will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Alisal, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 8-5 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ivan Chavez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Everett Alvarez is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 4-6 otherwise.

In other batting news, Devin Pedersen was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
