After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six matchups, Grandview Heights finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Buckeye Valley Barons, falling 14-2. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Grandview Heights saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ejheni Mdivanian, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Tatum Lusher also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Grandview Heights' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Buckeye Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Grandview Heights will be playing at home against Franklin Heights at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Buckeye Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Barons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silver Knights have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
