Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Larue County's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Larue County got themselves on the board against Rockcastle County on Friday, but Rockcastle County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Molly Abbott was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Austin, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Larue County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Rockcastle County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11-1.
