While Haysville Campus's win against Derby wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Panthers on Friday. That's two games straight that the Colts have won by just one run.

Haysville Campus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Derby, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Coming up, Haysville Campus will venture away from home to face off against Maize South on Tuesday. As for Derby, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-2 loss against Shawnee Mission West on the 26th.
