The home team had won the previous three meetings between Lawrence and Olathe South, and Lawrence kept the tradition alive. The Lions came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Lawrence walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Lawrence's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Olathe South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lawrence will face off against rival Olathe West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Olathe South is set to challenge their familiar foe Lawrence Free State at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
