Arizona College Prep will take on Higley in a tournament on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arizona College Prep has three straight victories, Higley has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Arizona College Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mountain Pointe 22-1 last Tuesday. Considering the Knights have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Liliana Gagnon looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Arizona College Prep got a massive performance out of Rachel Cain, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Paula Cantu, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Arizona College Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Higley came up short against Campo Verde on Wednesday, falling 11-3.
Samantha Parisi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lee, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Higley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Arizona College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Higley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arizona College Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Higley, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Arizona College Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Higley will need to find a way to close that gap.
