Flag Football Recap: Kacee Johnson and Natalee Johnson Pace the Vanguard School Defense

The Vanguard School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 26-14 to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans. The Coursers gained 90 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.

Although The Vanguard School took the loss, they still got scores from Alayna Nelson and Juliet Crowe.

The Vanguard School didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kacee Johnson and Natalee Johnson.

Among those leading the charge was Jaslene Ortiz, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 120 yards and one TD.

The Vanguard School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

As of now, neither The Vanguard School nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
