Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ja'kayla Hooks and Jazlyn Hall Lead Dooly County to Victory

Dooly County won the last time they faced Wilkinson County and things went their way on Friday too. The Dooly County Bobcats snuck past the Wilkinson County Warriors with a 49-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Leading Dooly County to victory were Jazlyn Hall and Ja'Kayla Hooks. Hall dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards, while Hooks dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Hooks is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory got Dooly County back to even at 6-6. As for Wilkinson County, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Dooly County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-46 loss against Wheeler County on the 18th. As for Wilkinson County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Twiggs County at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
