Soccer Recap: Branchville Takes a Loss

If Branchville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Denmark-Olar last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Branchville Yellow Jackets came up short against the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix on Thursday, falling 8-1. One thing that didn't help the Yellow Jackets' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Kyler Preast.

Branchville's goal came courtesy of Ashton Craig, who's now up to three this season.

Branchville dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Branchville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Military Magnet Academy on the 18th. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against Bethune-Bowman on the 18th.
