If Harvest Christian was riding high fresh off their 74-19 takedown of First Baptist last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Harvest Christian lost to Macedonian Christian on the road by a 55-39 margin on Friday. Harvest Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Macedonian Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Macedonian Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Gonzalez, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds. What's more, Gonzalez also racked up six assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Christian Landon was another key player, putting up 17 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Harvest Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-8. As for Macedonian Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

As for Macedonian Christian, they will host South Texas Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Texas Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season.
