Softball Recap: Burns Bulldogs vs. Draughn Wildcats

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Burns's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against Draughn recently, as their match on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

For Draughn's part, not much got past Laney Winebarger, who gave up just zero hits to keep Burns off the board. Winebarger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Madison Crouch was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and a double while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Hensley, who went 3-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
