Football Recap: Whitesburg Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Whitesburg Christian Academy and Mars Hill Bible squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Whitesburg Christian Academy had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 70-14 loss at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Panthers are ranked 15th).

Although Whitesburg Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Emerson White and Henry Nuwayhid.

Hudson Higgins produced another solid effort rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries for Mars Hill Bible. Higgins has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessie Parker, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of TDs.

Whitesburg Christian Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Mars Hill Bible, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Whitesburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mars Hill Bible, they will take on Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
