Basketball Recap: McQueen Comes Up Short

McQueen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 59-35 to the Damonte Ranch Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-54 back in January.

Despite the loss, McQueen still got an impressive performance from Jaleigh Fred, who posted 11 points and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Izzy Richards, who put up seven points.

Damonte Ranch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylee Moscove led the charge by going 6 for 14 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Maya Hartley was another key player, going 7 of 10 on her way to 18 points.

McQueen's record now sits at 3-20. As for Damonte Ranch, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17.

McQueen will head out to challenge Spanish Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something McQueen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Damonte Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
