Baseball Recap: Avella Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Avella put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Western Beaver Golden Beavers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Beavers, too.

Avella pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Western Beaver, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avella will host Summit Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Beaver, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Rochester at 4:00 p.m. This will be Rochester's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
