Basketball Recap: Bria Mcadoo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warhill over Lafayette

Warhill lost against Lafayette back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warhill Lions lost 53-32 to the Lafayette Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bria McAdoo, who posted nine points and three steals. McAdoo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. D'Shela Walker was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Lafayette got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dynasti Pierce out in front who put up 16 points along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKayla Keys, who scored ten points and four steals.

Warhill's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The future could be bright for both Warhill and Lafayette: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Warhill will try to hand Denbigh their 15th-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lafayette will look to extend York's 14-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
