Volleyball Recap: Bridgeland's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bridgeland had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Dripping Springs Tigers. The Bears were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

Bridgeland had a senior duo take command as Alexis Couch had 11 digs and five assists and Kennedy Boatman had 15 assists and four digs. Boatman is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Avery Weige also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Fuquay, who had nine digs and five assists.

Bridgeland's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Dripping Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.

Bridgeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Allen on the 28th. As for Dripping Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lago Vista on the 28th.
