Football Recap: Scotus Takes a Loss

Scotus was the 14-7 winner over Pierce when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the Shamrocks and the Bluejays didn't end well, with the Shamrocks falling 28-13. The game marked the Shamrocks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Scotus took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Cameron and Eli Maguire.

Pierce had a senior duo take command as Ryder Theisen rushed for 141 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry and Jackson Fischer rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.

Scotus is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Pierce, their record now sits at 4-1.

Scotus wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 76-9 win against Schuyler on the 2nd. As for Pierce, they will be playing in front of their home fans against O'Neill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Kaiden Fritz and Braxen Eichelberger.
