Douglass is 3-0 against Parkway Christian since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Douglass Hurricanes will challenge the Parkway Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Douglass saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of Muskegon Heights by a score of 58-55. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Parkway Christian waltzed into their matchup back in December of 2024 with five straight wins... but they left with six. They snuck past the Lancers with a 64-60 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Lancers are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parkway Christian's win came from a few key players Douglass will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Powers, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 22 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Parkway Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything went Douglass' way against Parkway Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as Douglass made off with a 64-38 victory. Does Douglass have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parkway Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
